Over its seven-year run, Pretty Little Liars captivated audiences with its mysterious “A” and amassed a dedicated fan base. Each character brought something unique to the show, and since its finale, fans have been curious about what the PLL stars are up to now. Here’s a look at where the cast members are today:
- Lucy Hale as Aria Montgomery
On Pretty Little Liars, Hale portrayed Aria Montgomery, an artistic student among a group grappling with the disappearance of their friend, Alison. Since the show ended in 2017, Hale has starred in films like Fantasy Island, Truth or Dare, and The Hating Game. She has also appeared in TV shows such as Katy Keene and Riverdale.
- Shay Mitchell as Emily Fields
Shay Mitchell played Emily Fields, who becomes engaged to Alison by the series’ end. In the Freeform spinoff The Perfectionists, it’s revealed that they eventually divorce. Mitchell appeared in You as Peach, opposite Penn Badgley, and starred in Hulu’s Dollface alongside Kat Dennings. Her recent work includes Something From Tiffany’s, filmed in 2022. Mitchell shares two children with Matte Babel.
- Ashley Benson as Hanna Marin
As Hanna Marin, another close friend of Alison, Benson shifted her focus to film after the show. She has been featured in movies like Her Smell, The Birthday Cake, and Private Property. Benson contributed vocals to the Her Smell soundtrack and has been in an on-again, off-again relationship with rapper G-Eazy.
- Troian Bellisario as Spencer Hastings
Playing the intellectual Spencer Hastings, Bellisario continued her acting career with films such as Feed, Cara, and the motherhood-themed Doula. She also ventured into directing episodes of Good Trouble. Bellisario married Patrick J. Adams in 2016, and the couple welcomed their first daughter, Aurora, in 2018, followed by a second daughter, Elliot Rowena, in 2021.

Pieterse’s Alison was initially presumed dead, but the series later revealed her story. Post-show, Pieterse competed on Dancing With the Stars and disclosed her diagnosis of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. She appeared in films like The Honor List and Ivy & Bean, and reprised her role in Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. Pieterse married Hudson Sheaffer in 2018 and they had their first child in 2020.
- Janel Parrish as Mona Vanderwaal
Janel Parrish, the original “A” behind the mysterious texts, eventually reconciled with the Liars and returned for the Perfectionists spinoff. She has made a mark in TV movies, especially Hallmark films, and played Lana Condor’s sister in Netflix’s To All the Boys series. Parrish married Chris Long in Oahu, Hawaii in 2018.
- Ian Harding as Ezra Fitz
Ian Harding’s Ezra Fitz, despite the controversy surrounding his character’s relationship with Aria, remained a fan favorite. Since the show ended, Harding has appeared in Chicago Med, Food v Ferrari, and Magnum P.I.. He married his long-time partner Sophie Hart in 2019, and they welcomed their first child in 2022.
- Keegan Allen as Toby Cavanaugh
Ah, shirtless Toby. Eventually marrying Spencer Hastings, Allen has played several roles since Toby, including the show “What/If”, a voice actor on “Rick and Morty” and acting in the films “Zeroville” and “Follow Me.” Right now, you can catch him on Season 3 of “Walker” on the CW.
9. Tyler Blackburn as Caleb Rivers
Eventually marrying Hanna Marin, Caleb was a close friend to the PLL crew and, like his co-workers, has now become a CW regular. You can find him on reboots of “Charmed” and “Roswell, New Mexico.” Blackburn also makes music, and some of his songs have been featured in the soundtrack of “Roswell, New Mexico.” In 2019, the actor came out as bisexual.
